Friday Favourites: 22nd January 2016 -

Featured

Well, Friday could not have come quick enough this week…only four days at work and it still seemed to drag. I’m working this weekend too but I’ll be off for a little spa day before then!

Here’s this weeks Friday Favourites for you though.

1. Snow

‘Some journeys take us far from home. Some adventures lead us to our destiny’ C.S.Lewis

We had a lovely snowy walk earlier this week and I honestly felt like I was going to look up any second and spot Aslan in the distance. It was beautiful. All of it’s bloody washed away now and it’s just left freezing cold…but hey ho. Was still lovely whilst it lasted.

2. Born Pretty Store Notepad

Lists, lists, list. There’s nothing I love to make more than lists and doing it on your phone or online just doesn’t feel the same as grabbing a pen and a cute notepad. I’ve been using one of my 5 inexpensive winter goodies to make some blog post related lists this week. Ooh Little Miss Organised or what?

3. Easter Bunny is my bestie

Have I just not noticed it before, but this year the majority of stores were actually putting their Easter chocolate stock out on Boxing Day? Unless it’s because I’m really trying to stick to Slimming World this year and it pained me to walk past the Easter isle in Tesco, or I’ve had my eyes closed…I always thought we saw them in store after Valentines Day? Oh well, I’m not complaining…much (because obviously I can’t stuff my face anywhere near as much as I’d want to… I HATE DIETS!).

4. Reading for a year

I look at my bookcase and I sigh. The thing is full, breaming with novels that I intend to read. I started a a Christmas one…after Christmas believe it or not and I still haven’t finished it! This year though, I’m definitely going to be changing that and trying to read as much as I can. Ooh I might share a list with you soon!

Read, read, read

Read, read, read

5. I will never have to buy jewellery again!

This week, I had a day off work and I went to Newlife in Cannock with Mum. For just £6.99 we bought a bag of mixed jewellery that was all tangled, twisted and some were slightly broken (although I can fix them). It took 5 hours, but we untangled them all and I got 80 pieces of jewellery!! I’m selling some of the duplicates on Facebook if you’re interested. Here is what they looked before we sorted them:

Well that’s this working week over folks…I wish! Off for a massage or two tomorrow 😉 but then it’s work on Sunday. Sad times.

Hope you’ve had a fab week and a fab friday.
